HOURS FOR SWANZEY AND PETERBOROUGH
The Monadnock Humane Society Adoption & Learning Center in Swanzey is open Wednesday through Sunday with the following hours:
- Wednesday - Sunday from Noon - 6 PM
The Monadnock Humane Society Adoption Center in Peterborough is open Wednesday through Sunday with the following hours:
- Wednesday - Friday from Noon - 6 PM
- Saturday - Sunday from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Please note that all animal supplies (pet food, treats, leads, collars, etc.) have been moved into the lobby to better serve you!

DIRECTIONS TO MHS SWANZEY
Directions to the Monadnock Humane Society from southeast (Boston): Take Route 128 North to 2 West. In Gardner, MA, pick up Route 140 North to 12 North. Follow 12 North to the traffic light in Keene, NH. Turn Left onto Route 101 West. Continue on Route 101 West until the traffic circle. Take 3rd exit off of circle to Route 10 South. MHS is about a mile down Route 10S on the right.
From southwest (Springfield, MA): Take Route 91 North to Exit 28A (Northfield). Turn right off the exit. At the "T" turn left onto Route 10 North. Follow Route 10N through Northfield, MA and into Winchester and then West Swanzey, NH. MHS will be on your left about 1/2 mile past The Cheshire Horse and gas station.
From the east (NH): Follow Route 101 West, through the Route 12 intersection, to the traffic circle in Keene. Take 3rd exit off of circle to Route 10 South. MHS is about a mile down Route 10S on the right.

Directions to the Monadnock Humane Society Peterborough Adoption Center from Boston: Take I-93 N to I-95 S/MA-128 S. Then US-3 N/MIDDLESEX TPK exit, EXIT 32B-A, toward LOWELL/BURLINGTON. Merge onto US-3 N via EXIT 32A toward LOWELL/NASHUA N.H. Merge onto EVERETT TURNPIKE. Then take NH-101A BYP W via EXIT 8 toward RT-101A/AMHERST/MILFORD.Take the RT-101A W ramp. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto AMHERST ST/NH-101A. Continue to follow NH-101A W. Turn LEFT to take the RT-101 W ramp toward PETERBOROUGH/KEENE. Merge onto NH-101. Turn LEFT onto ELM ST/NH-101. Continue to follow NH-101. Turn RIGHT onto GRANITE ST/US-202/NH-123. Continue to follow US-202/NH-123. 209 CONCORD ST is on the RIGHT.
From southwest (Springfield, MA): Merge onto I-91 N via the ramp on the LEFT toward I-291 E/US-20/HOLYOKE/MASS. PIKE (Crossing into VERMONT).T Take EXIT 3 toward US-5/BRATTLEBORO/VT-9 E/KEENE N.H. Merge onto CHESTERFIELD RD. Enter next roundabout and take 2nd exit onto VT-9 (Crossing into NEW HAMPSHIRE). VT-9 becomes NH-10/NH-101/NH-12. Enter next roundabout and take 2nd exit onto NH-101 E. Turn LEFT onto GRANITE ST/US-202/NH-123. Continue to follow US-202/NH-123. 209 CONCORD ST is on the RIGHT.
