Boarding Policies

Health and Vaccine Policy

To protect each pet and maintain a healthy boarding environment, proof of the following current vaccines must be provided prior to admission:

• Dogs:
  • DHPP - given at least 2 weeks prior to check-in; renewed annually
  • Rabies - given at least 2 weeks prior to check-in; renewed every 3 years for adult dogs
  • Bordatella - given at least 72 hours prior to check-in
  • Existing skin conditions - must have a veterinarian's statement of diagnosis
  • Free of fleas and parasites
• Cats:
  • FVRCP - given at least 2 weeks prior to checkoin; renewed every 1-3 years as recommended by your veterinarian
  • Rabies - given at least 2 weeks prior to check-in; renewed every 3 years for adult dogs
  • Existing skin conditions - must have a veterinarian's statement of diagnosis
  • Free of fleas and parasites

Fee Policy

• Boarding fees are charged on a per night basis
• Check-in day is included
• If check-out is by 12 noon, no additional night will be charged
• If check-out is after 12 noon, you will be charged for that night
• Full payment is expected at Check-in. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, cash or check
• 48-hour cancellation is required
• If cancellation occurs with less than 48 hours, you will be charged for half the reserved time
• Discount available for current MHS members (must provide current membership card to receive discount)

Reservation Policy

• A credit card is required to hold your dog's suite
  • Holiday Reservation Policy:  a $75 non-refundable Holiday Deposit is required to board during holiday periods.  Deposite will be applied to the holiday bill or will be forfeited if reservation is cancelled.  If holiday reservation is cancelled with less than seven day notice, the standard cancellation fee will also apply.
• Full payment is expected at check-in
• Label all items from home with your pet's name
• Allow 30 minutes at check-in to provide necessary information regarding your pet's health and daily routine
• Pets will be checked for ticks and fleas and medical conditions discussed
• All necessary health and vaccination history from your veterinarian must be provided at check-in.
• For the well-being of all animals in our care, MHS reserves the right to refuse boarding privileges if health and vaccination history is not provided
• Check-in & check-out: Sunday thru Saturday 10:00 am - 5:30 pm or by appointment
