After School Programs

The Monadnock Humane Society works in partnership with a number of local area organizations to provide children with a safe outlet for positive experiences with animals in a shelter environment. Through visitation time with appropriate shelter animals and interactive group discussion, children learn about responsible pet care, pet overpopulation, feline and canine behavior, open adoption counseling and clicker training. The experience is one that is both educational and fun. Programs generally last an hour and multiple visits can be scheduled throughout the year. Plan your program at the Monadnock Humane Society at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance by contacting the Program Coordinator at 603-352-9011, ext. 147 or jessicap@humanecommunity.org.
