ADOPTION FEES
Puppies & Dogs
Puppies (6 months of age or younger): $375 (includes training class at the MHS Training Center within 6 months of adoption )
Adult Dogs (7 months of age or older): $225
Senior Dogs (small breed 12+ years / Large breed 9+ years): $125
The Monadnock Humane Society transports adoptable dogs from overpopulated shelters outside New England. Dogs are transported into our community due to a decrease in the number of local dogs relinquished or found stray. Although we transport dogs, the dogs in our community remain our priority.
Kittens & Cats
Kittens (6 months and younger): $100
Adult Cats (7 months and older): $90
Senior Cats (8 years and older): $50
Small Animals
Rabbits*: $40
Ferrets*: $50
Guinea Pigs: $20
Gerbils, Hamsters, Mice & Rats: $5
*Rabbits are spayed or neutered and ferrets receive a rabies vaccination.
Senior citizen discount: Adoption fee reduced by $20
